Q: How do I make a beer with a very high Alcohol?
A: Every young man that is trying to make beer for the first time will have this adventure to make a "super high octane" beer. When making beer or wine for that matter, you should strive to make a drink that has good balance. But if you must, create a high octane beer than you will want to select a recipe that has plenty of fermentable sugars and a yeast strain (champagne yeast works well for this purpose) that can produce high levels of alcohol before being "spent".
Q: What is the best way to sanitize my beer bottles?
A: The best way to sanitize your beer bottles is to fill up your dishwasher with your beer bottles, use no soap, and run through the heat cycle. Before doing this, make sure rinse your bottles good with a bottle brush and/or jet bottle washer that hooks up to your standard kitchen sink.
Q: Can I make my beer on the stove?
A: Yes, but it is a good idea to wipe the stove down good, as anything that is on the stove can become "baked on" and difficult to clean when it's time for clean up. Buying a turkey fryer to use for boiling your ingredients outside works best. This way you have little clean up and no unwanted smells in the home.
